I have a copy of fraps on my alienware with fraps turned on I get 30fps in game, so let me know if you get more fps with fraps or other video recording software.

I have both Full version of fraps and Sony Vegas Movie Studio Pro 9 Platinum. So both are not required. However, some times frame rates are low on my computer. So if there is a scene I do need. I will keep in touch.
